Adore my stunning Kate Spade find in Texas this week. She had me at [gold bow]

[shop frankie's] just celebrated their one year. so I purchased the dress I'd been lusting after for months. Completely appropriate :)

Loving this vanity set up. I see a little remodeling in the future for this weekend.

Found the bag of my dreams this week. More inexpensive than the Zara version. Score.

Speaking of one year celebrations, DewDropDC is hosting another fabulous swap & pop up shop fete to ring in their birthday! Make sure you grab your tickets while you can!

Trying my hand at these gorgeous boot shapers this weekend. I'll need all the luck I can get...

[friday favorites] unplugged

Happy Friday, my lovely readers! Today I'm attempting the impossible & unplugging for a few hours. I can't promise I will be completely off social media but I'm going to attempt to resist the urge to scroll through Instagram every 15 minutes. Do you ever get the urge to just unplug for a bit? So I'm taking the day to enjoy the beautiful weather we're having, even if it is a bit too warm for my taste, & plan a day trip to a pumpkin patch & a winery.
What are your favorire things to do during this amazing season?

[friday favorites] dry bar dc

"No cuts. No color. Just blowouts." [for 40 bucks!]
Hand over your headbands & scrunchies, ladies. No more wet head at work. No more unkempt bobs walking down K Street. Say no to 3 day old hair & cans of half empty dry shampoo in your desk drawers. No more informercial hair pieces masquerading as acceptable updos.

Enter: DryBarDC.

For far too long, women in this city have been able to use the "but we don't have a DryBar in DC" excuse. No more, my friends. Starting today you can book appointments at the Georgetown & Bethesda locations for $40.

Welcome DryBar. We've been waiting for you.

This weekend is filled with plans for brunches, birthday celebrations & welcoming this new beauty into my closet.

Have you heard about Swirl? Sequins & Stripes has got the 411 on this amazing new website.

Looking for that perfect fall cocktail this weekend? Style Within Reach has you covered with a simple recipe for spiked cider.

Tired of hitting the cobbler every other week to reconstruct your favorite stilettos? A Simple Affair has the 411 on the perfection solution.

Had dreams about this stunner last night. That's reason enough to purchase. Right?

Thanks to Emily, I'll be chowing down on Balthazar's french onion soup this evening. Is there anything better?

Have an amazingly wonderful weekend, my loves. & stay beautiful, inside & out.

friday favorites: heat wave

It's been a cool 90+ in the district this past week & other than wishing myself to the nearest pool I'm doing a bit of daydreaming about fall & the corresponding appropriate attire. Yes, I said it. Fall. The beach is great fun & who doesn't love a solid grilling day at the pool but I, my friends, am a fall & football lovin' girl. Born & raised in the DC area, I'm no stranger to our sweltering summers but now that we don't get a summer break it's just not as cute as it used to be. Just two more months until I can wear jackets. Come on fall...

It's Friday! I made it, you made it, & it's nearly the weekend. In celebration, there may or may not have been an impromptu interpretive dance party in the streets of Georgetown last night to none other than "Call Me Maybe". Just sayin'.

friday favorites: the styleliner

Last night, the lovely Alissa & I attended The Styleliner kick-off party at The W hotel, met up with some friends old & new, & enjoyed wonderful gems from around the world. These one of a kind pieces come from Greece, Paris, London, Spain, Italy, Germany, Kenya, Brussels, Brazil, New York, & San Francisco. Joey's luxury treasure chest will be making the rounds in DC until June 17 [schedule below] so if you love unique jewels & sparkle as much as I do get out there! This is an opportunity you do not want to miss!
