This past weekend, a few of my favorites & I put on our best holiday threads & ventured out for a night of friendship, fun, & charity. Lacey, Alison, & I hosted the 4th Annual District Gala's Best Dressed portion of the evening & had an absolute blast. 

As an active advocate for children, I was thrilled to support an event where proceeds from the evening benefited Horton's Kids - an organization dedicated to educate & empower the children of Washington, DC’s Ward 8 by providing comprehensive, direct services which improve the quality of their daily lives & nurture their desire & ability to succeed. Thanks to the new friends we made, the rocking dance moves we learned, & the cause we were all there to support, this is sure to be an annual event for us.

Last week one of my favorite local boutiques had their fall preview & I am now completely ready for this next season in full force. Hobo's new bags & patterns are an absolute must-have this fall season. They have something for everyone which is a huge plus - you know how much I love to have options :)
From their large totes in muted fall colors to their smaller clutches in fun, fresh prints, Hobo is a force to be reckoned with this fall & may just make the perfect holiday gift!

Thank you to everyone who was a part of our big night! We had amazing participation & an amazing turnout. We can't thank you enough & couldn't have done it without you. If you can remember back to my first post back to the blogosphere I mentioned that my organization, G.L.A.M., was up & running. Well, divas, not only are we up & running but we are officially hosting our first fashion event on June 28! Take a moment to "Eeeeee!!" with me, won't you! Fabulous fashion, jewels, a runway show, your favorite DC fashion bloggers, cupcakes & celebrities - what more could you want!?

Who: Your fabulous self & your fashionista friends
What: G.L.A.M. for CASA DC - Celebrating 10 years of service!
When: June 28, 7-9pm
Where: The Hillyer Art Space, 9 Hillyer Court NW DC 20008
Why: Because you die for fashion, your money is going directly to help children in YOUR area, & you never say no to a good cupcake.


G.L.A.M. started as just an idea scribbled on countless pages of crumbled legal paper, with my trusty little Mac, my love of fashion, & desire to help children in need. Through volunteering with CASA of DC & meeting the wonderful people that devote their time to such amazing children I could not be more excited to host this event. Join me in celebrating 10 years of CASA DC's service!


CASA of DC is a 100% community-driven organization [with volunteers like me!] that works hard so children in foster care spend less time in the system, find permanent homes faster and get the life-changing services they need.
